Cate Waruguru headed back to UDA? Waruguru, Kihika, Jumwa photo sparks speculations

By , November 2, 2021

Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru has on Tuesday November 2, 2021 posted a photo that captured her in the company of Nakuru senator Susan Kihika and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.

Waruguru’s post has sparked speculations of her possible defection from President Uhuru’s Jubilee Party to Ruto’s UDA party.

“Something which we think is impossible now is not impossible in another decade. Lovely evening Fam,” she captioned the photo.

It is noteworthy that before Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru ditched Uhuru for Ruto’s hustler nation, she posted a teaser that captured her in the company of Susan Kihika and Aisha Jumwa.

The two women leaders, who are ardent supporters of the second in command, are believed to be the team dispatched to convince other women leaders to join the nascent party.

If she finally joins UDA, Waruguru will have made a comeback after leaving the camp for the Raila-led BBI Camp. After the fall of BBI, the Laikipia Woman Representative has steered clear of the camps of the two frontrunners.

The legislator dissociated herself with Raila’s camp and Ruto’s camp as well. She has recently been a lone ranger despite the 2022 Uhuru succession politics taking shape.
