Bad timing of political moves has ended many careers – Lee Kinyanjui reacts to Waiguru’s shift to Ruto’s camp

Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui has on Tuesday October 26, 2021 weighed in on Waiguru’s shift of allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party.
The county chief said he has welcomed the move by his colleague and that he respects her decision. He further stated that they will remember her as a respected and resourceful member of their team, that she has since ditched.
“We have learnt of the decision by our colleague to sign up with team yellow. As the Ibo say, a toad does not run in the daytime for nothing. We respect her decision and wish her well in the coming season. We shall remember her as a respected and resourceful member of our team,” Kinyanjui said.
In his parabolic statement, the county head further stated that in politics, timing is key and distinguishes a master stroke from a disastrous move.
Lee posits that wrong timing in politics has often ended many careers due to actions being based on impulse.
“In politics, timing is key, it is what distinguishes a master stroke from a disastrous move. It has ended many careers if not well thought,” he said.
The ex-Nakuru Town MP further took a swipe at the UDA party for exploring all its bullets before the political season commences.
He covertly hinted that there will be a beehive of activity on their side, that has openly proclaimed their support for ODM leader Raila Odinga, in January.
“I am reminded of the parable of the ladies who finished their oil before the main wedding. When the final day came, they were empty. The wedding starts in January,” he said.
