Harambee Stars captain Micheal Olunga feted in Qatar after stellar season

Harambee Stars and Al Duhail SC forward, Michael Olunga, was feted for his exploits in the 2021 Asian Champions League.

Olunga was presented with the 2021 Asian Champions League Golden Boot for emerging as the top scorer this past season.

The Star’s talisman was accorded a standing ovation by his teammates just a face-off with Al Khor FC in the Qatar Star league.

Olunga was awarded the prestigious award after finding the back of the net nine times.

The former Gor Mahia’s striker has been instrumental for his paymasters with his side sitting second at the Qatar Stars League table- five points behind defending champions Al Sadd.

He has scored 13 goals in this season’s campaign.

Former Star’s captain Dennis Oliech congratulated Olunga for his accomplishments in the Qatar league.

“Congratulations captain, we are proud of you and all your accomplishments,” Oliech said.

Back in December 2021, Olunga was named the Qatar Super League’s best player for the months of October and November.

Olunga had featured in five games between October 17 and November 3, where he found the back of the net five times.
