Defending Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League champions Gor Mahia will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face Murang’a Seal on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

K’Ogalo welcomes Murang’a SEAL at Machakos Stadium at 4 pm, just days after suffering a frustrating defeat at the hands of Nairobi City Stars.

Leo Neiva’s side’s lacklustre performance saw them punished by Simba wa Nairobi 2-1 and dropped to ninth in the KFKPL standings.

However, Gor Mahia will be looking for a chance to redeem themselves when they lock horns with Murang’a Seal who are currently seventh with nine points.

A spirited fight is expected as Murang’a is staring at a chance of breaking into the top four.

However, Gor Mahia will be without the services of some of their key players including Austine Odhiambo and Roney Onyango who travelled with the National Team Harambee Stars ahead of the CHAN return leg against South Sudan on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Uganda.

Gor Mahia’s run

K’Ogalo started the league on a high after thrashing Mathare United 4-0. Neiva’s charges followed that result with a commanding 3-0 win against Posta Rangers.

However, their momentum was halted with a goalless draw against Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Football Club before suffering a surprising 2-1 loss to Nairobi City Stars.

On the other side, Murang’a Seal has claimed narrow victories over Ulinzi Stars and AFC Leopards, both ending 1-0, but struggled to maintain consistency, managing only two draws against Bandari and Mara Sugar before back-to-back losses to Kariobangi Sharks and KCB.

Other matches on Saturday

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, fixtures kick off at 1 pm where FC Talanta will face off with Kariobangi Sharks in Machakos. Sharks have recorded an impressive start to their season and will look to extend their form this Saturday.
