Five African countries with zero Covid-19 cases as of April 2

Since the novel coronavirus was reported in China December last year, it has spread to all the regions of the world apart from the North Pole. By April 2, it had infected 937,941 people. In Africa, total infections were 6,803. Over 47 people have succumbed.

Kenya has so far reported three recoveries, one death and 81 infections.

The disease has been confirmed in 203 countries.

In Africa’s 54 nations, the following have not reported any case as at April 2;

  • Comoros
  • Sao Tome and Principe
  • Malawi
  • South Sudan
  • Comoros
