A female police officer was found killed in her one bedroomed rental house at Annex estate along Eldoret-Nakuru highway in what is suspected to be love triangle.

The body of the police constable Robinah Moraa,  who was attached to Naiberi police station, was discovered in a pool of blood by the caretaker Stanley Some in the morning.

The deceased, who is in her thirties is suspected to have been killed by her attacker on Wednesday before her body was discovered the following today in the morning.

Some said that two men who did not identify themselves arrived in the morning and knocked on the door of the deceased house.

When they failed to get response, they forced the door open and entered inside and stumbled on the body that was lying in a pool of blood.

Some said the two men came out of the house just immediately while shaken and alerted him that the person they had come to see was lying in a pool of blood.

“When I went to the police officer’s house, I saw her body lying in a pool of blood with the weapon that was used to end her life placed on the floor.

The care taker said that he rushed to the area chief and informed him about the shocking incident and he called the police officers stationed at Nairberi police station who arrived thirty minutes later to the scene of the incident.

Some said the suspected killer arrived at the plot at around 2pm and packed his premier vehicle outside the premises before entering in her house.

“When he arrived in the afternoon, he did not greet anybody and instead just walked straight to the deceased house and left three hours later in a hurry after locking the door from inside ,” saidSome.

He said the deceased shifted to the plot two months ago and that she was a reserved person who did not mingle or engage in chat with neighbors.

“The deceased was very reserved and she rarely engaged in chat with her neighbors. She would wake up in the morning and report to work and come back in evening and lock herself in the house after duty,” saidSome.

The care taker said that even when the deceased was off duty, she would spend her time alone washing her clothes in the morning andlater iron them in the afternoon.

Uasin Gishu Police Commander Johnstone Ipara who visited the scene ofthe attack said police have launched investigations into the cruel killing of the deceased.

Ipara said the police officer was stabbed several times on the head and body by the assailant who is suspected to be his long time boyfriend turned killer.

“We have gathered enough clues that will lead to the arrest of the suspected killer within 24 hours because he is a known person,”assured Ipara.

He said they will not rest until the perpetrator of the heinous act is arrested adding that they do not want to speculate on the circumstances under which the police officer made her death.
