Eric Johana helped his new side Muangthong United pick a 2-0 win over Polis Terot Club in a preseason match played at Thunder Dome Stadium.
Sardor Mirzaev netted the first goal while Johana doubled the lead for Muangthong United to end their pre-season on a high note. The side now shifts focus on the new season which is scheduled to start next weekend.
Johana set for Debut
Johana and his teammates will kick start their campaign with an away trip to Ratchaburi FC on 13 August 2022. The side will be looking for a stronger start to the season as they eye a better finish.
Johana was unveiled by the Thai League side in late July and he will be keen to make his league debut on Saturday.
The former Mathare United man penned down a one-year deal with an extension option and was handed jersey 19.
Johana can play as a 10 and on the wings. He started off his career at Mathare United and has played Wasland-Bevern in Belgium,DSIF (2017), IF Brommapogcarna (2018-19) and Jon Koppings Sodra and SK Beveren.
He has made 23 appearances for Harambee Stars scoring four goals. His first national team appearance was against Ethiopia.

In Sweden, Eric Ouma and Collins Shichenje featured in AIK’s 1-0 loss to Kalmar FF. The loss leaves AIK on 31 points and they are placed fourth on the standings while Frank Odhiambo’s side Djurgårdens IF are top with 34 points after a goalless draw.
KAA Gent home to Kenyan International Joseph Okumu picked the first win of the season by defeating Westerlo 2-1 in the Belgian Pro League.
