Media briefing on festive season
Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo will today Wednesday, December 4, 2024, hold a press briefing on the festive season security preparedness.

Reactions to KUTRH Board changes
Reactions on the changes that have been made to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) Board, are expected to continue streaming in.
State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, issued a press statement saying that Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) Board chairperson Prof Olive Mugenda had resigned.
In the communication, Mohamed also noted that KUTRH CEO Ahmed Dagane had been directed to proceed on indefinite leave and Dr Zainab Gura appointed to replace him in acting capacity.
Isaac Kamau, who was recently appointed by the board as the acting CEO, was also released from his duties and directed to report to the Ministry of Health Headquarters.
“President William Ruto has received and accepted the resignation of Professor Olive Mugenda as the Chairperson of the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) Board, with immediate effect,” Mohamed stated.
Graft cases in court
Several graft cases are lined up today for hearing and mention.
One of the cases that will be coming up for hearing at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court involves Paul Kipsang Kosgei and four others who are charged with abuse of office and fraudulent acquisition of public property.
Allegations relate to procurement irregularities in the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, training, servicing, maintenance and repair of sewing machines at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) at a benefit of Ksh28,411,620.
Another case that will be coming up for hearing at the same court involves West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin Kodomuk and three others who are charged with abuse of office and conspiracy to commit an economic crime.
Allegations relate to to fraudulent acquisition of public property of Ksh5,385,900 through the irregular withdraws from West Pokot County Bursary, Education Development and Infrastructure Fund.
