The government’s move to market Kenya as a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) destination has started bearing fruits as hoteliers get honours in the sector.

Mombasa-based PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort and Spa is the latest Kenyan hospitality brand to be nominated as Africa’s leading conference hotel of 2022 and Africa’s leading family resort of 2022 as ranked by the World Travel Awards.

The resort, which is the flagship product of leading hospitality chain PrideInn Hotels, Resorts and Camps, was also nominated in three other crucial categories, including Kenya’s leading family resort 2022.

Hasnain Noorani, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts and Camps Managing Director said the nomination by World Travel Awards was a testament that Kenya’s tourism sector is currently recovering from the negative impact of Covid-19.

“PrideInn Hotels, Resorts and Camps are very grateful for getting nominated in the various categories. It means the world is seeing our efforts of delivering quality services in a highly competitive industry that is begging to recover from the impact of the pandemic,” he said.
