National Land Commission set to auction vehicles, assorted items

The National Land Commission (NLC) has announced the auctioning of motor vehicles and other assorted items.
In a notice on MyGov on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the Lands Commission noted that the vehicles, ICT pieces of equipment and other assorted items would be auctioned on June 28, 2024.
The planned auction is set to start at 10:00 am.
“The National Land Commission is in the process of disposing of unserviceable, obsolete, surplus vehicles, ICT and other assorted items on June 28, 2024, starting 10:00 am,” the notice published on MyGov read in part.
Requirements for placing a bid
According to the notice, interested bidders will be required to pay a refundable deposit after which they will receive a bidding number.
The National Land Commission will thereafter receive a bank slip confirming the deposit and the item bidded for.
“Interested bidders are required to pay a refundable deposit for each lot/items they are interested in. This will be the basis of obtaining the bidding number before the auction date. The refundable deposit shall be deposited in the National Land Commission Bank Account,” the notice added.
“Interested bidders will be required to present their bank slips to the National Land Commission Accounts Office located on the 18th floor, Upper Hill Chambers during the normal office working hours (9.00 am to 4.00 pm) and will thereafter be issued with a receipt,” the commission emphasised.”
Further, NLC advised interested bidders to visit their website to get more information on the auction, catalogue, items to be sold and their conditions.
Statehouse auction
This comes weeks after the Executive Office of the President, State House, announced the auction of various items including motor vehicles and other assorted items.
In a notice published on MyGov on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Executive Office of the President listed unserviceable motor vehicles, tyres and other assorted items that will be auctioned.
“The Executive Office of the President- State House intends to sell by Public Auction unserviceable motor vehicles, tyres, car batteries, rims and assorted items,” the public notice read in part.
The public auction is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 14, 2024, starting at 10:00 am at the State Department for Roads in Ruiru.
