Maurice Akech has been reappointed as the National Construction Authority (NCA) Executive Director and Registrar of Contractors.

Akech (pictured) joined NCA as its General Manager in charge of Research, Business Development and Capacity Building and later rose to the position of Executive Director, initially in an acting capacity before being officially appointed on September 26, 2019.

Mercy Okiro, NCA vice chairperson said under the leadership of Akech, the authority has witnessed tremendous growth and development.

She identified some of the achievements as spearheading collaborations and partnerships among key industry players and reviewing the Code of Conduct for the construction industry and developing the draft Construction Industry Policy. “Eng Akech has proven his passion for the development of the construction industry and his reappointment will entrench the authority’s contribution to the country’s economic development,” Okiro added in a statement.
