Safina presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi now says United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Azimio la Umoja are one and the same thing.

Speaking at Redeemed Church in Kiambu County on Sunday, Wanjigi said Kenyans should not be “deceived” by the same people who have run down the country’s economy.

Wanjigi said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto “represent” the face of corruption in the country.

“It is time for all of us to take charge not a few of us,” he said.

The Safina party leader said “failed” Jubilee administration has metamorphosed into two wings, one led by Uhuru and his handshake partner Raila Odinga and the other wing led by DP Ruto.

“Voting Azimio or Kenya kwanza is a continuation of the oppressive Jubilee administration. It is devised to ensure you vote in Jubilee again – Tano Tena,” he warned.

In a media briefing shortly after, Wanjigi warned voters not to allow divisions to be pushed by their selfish leaders, dismissing the two major coalition parties as “divisive tribal outfits”

Wanjigi further announced that he will be naming his running mate on May 16.

He has previously said that his running mate choice will represent the true face of Kenya.
