Tabitha Karanja wins Nakuru Senator seat

Controversial business woman-cum-politician Tabitha Karanja popularly known as Keroche has been declared the winner of the Nakuru County Senator’s position.

Keroche beat nine contestants to clinch the senate by garnering 442,864 votes.

She was vying on a UDA party ticket against her closest rival of the ruling party Lawrence Karanja who garnered 163,625 votes of the total votes cast.

Speaking after being declared the winner, Keroche thanked the residents of Nakuru for loving her so much that she got triple the votes of her closest competitor.

“I want to thank all those who voted for me and those who didn’t. I will serve you equally and diligently. I am going to champion new bills in the Senate. I will champion democracy,” Keroche said.

She thanked IEBC for conducting the elections in the most professional way.
