Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Azimio-One Kenya coalition in the Western region in the just-concluded General Election.

Oparanya, who is one of the two ODM Deputy Party leaders, thanked residents of the region for their support of Azimio and presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

“As National Coalition Executive Council chairman of Azimio, I take this opportunity to sincerely thank our supporters in the Western region for delivering votes and a majority of elective seats to our presidential candidate Odinga,” said Oparanya (pictured).

He added that he was impressed with the performance of Kakamega County saying it delivered more elective seats to Azimio, a move that he said confirmed that residents from the region still support Raila.

ODM captured the Kakamega Wiman Representative seat through Elsie Muhanda, Butere constituency through Tindi Mwale, Khwisero via Christopher Aseka and Mumias West seat that was retained by Johnstone Naicca.
