Oparanya leads Azimio team in selling Raila’s agenda to Kenyans living in USA

Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya on Saturday, April 30, 2022, led the Azimio team that had flown to the United States of America to sell its agenda to Kenyans living in Minnesota.

Oparanya took on the mantle of team leader after Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga cut short his US tour to pay his last tribute to departed ex-Head of State Mwai Kibaki.

“I led the team that Raila left behind for a meeting in Minnesota where we sold Azimio agenda as we sought support from the American community. The event was fruitful and I on behalf of H.E Odinga and Kenyans expressed our gratitude to the hosts,” Oparanya posted.

Raila Odinga cut short US tour

Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga cut short his 5-day United States official visit to attend the burial of Kenya’s third President Mwai Kibaki.

Raila Presidential Campaign Secretariat Press Secretary Dennis Onsarigo announced that the former premier was to jet back into the country on Wednesday, April 27.

“Azimio la Umoja -One Kenya Coalition flag-bearer Rt Hon Raila Odinga will cut short his ongoing US trip and travel back home on Wednesday ahead of the burial of the former President Mwai Kibaki,” Onsarigo said in a short statement.
