“I have been to several polling stations in Laikipia today and there are no major issues. The several hitches on the KIEMS kits have been resolved accordingly,” Muriithi said.

Laikipia senatorial seat candidate Henry Mbuthia also said the process has been running smoothly without major setbacks and that the few found were amicably resolved.

The leaders have further urged the residents to remain calm during the vote counting exercise expected to start at 5 pm across the country.

Laikipia County has a total of 263,012 registered voters.
