By , August 3, 2022

Kajiado South Member of Parliament candidate Wenger Saibulu on The Service Party (TSP) has officially ditched his Kenya Kwanza allied gubernatorial candidate Katoo Ole Metito.

Saibulu has instead declared to support Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Joseph Ole Lenku who is defending his Kajiado governor.

Blow to Katoo

The move by the youthful politician is considered a blow to Katoo who is eyeing the seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

Saibulu on Tuesday, August 2, joined the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya team in a series of rallies where he urged his supporters to support Lenku.

“I want to urge you to re-elect Lenku. Lenku’s leadership has been proven and tested. As a youthful leader seeking your votes, I also have an obligation to help my supporters settle on capable leaders, and for the governor’s position that is Lenku,” he said.

He said Lenku has been at the forefront to empower youth in his government as well as embrace youth leadership by backing young politicians.

Saibulu’s move is a major boost to Lenku who is battling for the seat with Katoo, David Nkedianye (Jubilee), and Ambrose Kago(Independent).
