I am ready to debate Ruto, I will send him to political oblivion – Babu Owino

Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino says he is ready to take on Deputy President William Ruto in the presidential debate slated for Tuesday, July 26.

This comes in response to Azimio la Umoja’s Secretary-General Junet Mohammed’s demands to the debate secretariat ahead of the much-awaited event.

In his demands, Junet had stated that the coalition’s flag bearer, Raila, would only attend the debate if the moderators agreed to focus on vital issues such as Integrity, corruption, and governance.

He added that if the debate secretariat fails to meet their demand, they will send Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to debate Deputy President William Ruto.

In a subsequent rejoinder, Babu stated that he was willing to debate Ruto on the condition that he will not lie and mention the word wheelbarrow.
