Esther Passaris beats Millicent Omanga in Nairobi Woman Rep race

Orange Democratic Movement party’s Esther Passaris has been declared the winner of the Nairobi Woman Representative race.

Passaris garnered 698, 929 votes to secure re-election. Her closest rival, UDA’s Millicent Omanga, came second with 586,246 votes.

Edwin Sifuna wins Nairobi senatorial race

ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has been declared the Nairobi senator-elect.

According to the county’s returning officer, Sifuna garnered 716,651 votes, against his main competitor, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA)

Wanjiru amassed a total of 524,091 votes.

Sifuna takes over from Johnson Sakaja who is inches away from clinching Nairobi’s top job.
