Chiefs in Kisii County have been asked to transport sick and elderly voters to polling stations.

Kisii Central Deputy County Commissioner Wilberforce Kilonzo said administrators will use motorbikes and vehicles to take them to the stations and return them home.

Speaking at Kisii School tallying Centre during the distribution of election materials for Nyaribari Chache constituency, he said he had held a meeting with bar owners to close their businesses tomorrow.

“Bars will not be open tomorrow. I urge those who will win to celebrate peacefully and avoid laughing at losers,” Kilonzo said during a media briefing.

The County Commissioner lauded candidates for conducting peaceful campaigns and urged them to maintain peace during and after the elections.
