Baringo Central ready for polls – IEBC Returning Officer

Baringo Central Returning Officer Gilbert Serem has confirmed that the constituency is ready for tomorrow’s general election.

Speaking during the opening and signing of ballot papers by some of the Baringo Central candidates at Kabarnet Boys tallying centre, Serem said the constituency had a total of 45920 registered voters with five county assembly wards, 143 polling stations, one prison polling station which will only vote for the presidential election.

Serem said that the polling station with the highest voter number was that of Visa Oshwal which had a total of 1683 voters with the lowest being Kwamoi in Sacho which has only 57 voters.

“We are here to ensure that the elections will be successfully conducted. Our mandate is also to conduct free, fair, and transparent elections,” he said.
