Babu Owino re-elected as Embakasi East MP

Embakasi MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has been re-elected for a second term.
Babu, who vied on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, garnered 57,410 votes against 29,104 of Francis Mureithi who vied on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
Speaking moments after being announced the winner, Babu promised to work for both sides of the political divide.
“Nitawafanyia watu kazi bila kuwabagua. To my opponents, you live to fight another day. I will work with other leaders to redeem the residents of Embakasi East from poverty,” he said.
