Mogakaβs arrival comes after the promotion of left-footed winger Elly Wafula from the junior team to the senior squad. Wafula, who has been a standout player for the AFC Leopards Cubs, also signed a one-year deal with the first team.
In addition, AFC Leopards made headlines during the transfer window by securing the services of attacker Ovella Ochieng.
Ovella had been without a club since leaving South Africa’s Richards Bay FC. His move follows Richards Bay FC’s transfer ban by FIFA due to financial disputes. Ovella joined as the club’s fifth major signing of the season.
The club has also signed Sydney Lokale (FC Saint Eloi Lupopo, Congo DRC), Peter Maker Mabok (Radnicki SM, Serbia), Julius Masaba (Kariobangi Sharks FC), and Samuel Semo Mbaja (Murangβa Seal FC).
Meanwhile, Kevin Kimani and Christopher Koloti are among the players who have left the club on loan deals.
