As the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) takeover saga continues to elicit sharp criticism among the Kenyan citizenry, Adani Group, the company that is eyeing to take over operations of the airport has denied issuing any statement regarding the issue.

While warning that it will take legal actions against persons spreading false statements that the company had given bribes to government officials to award them the takeover tender, the company insisted that those spreading false information about their alleged statements were acting maliciously without any bases.

In a letter to newsrooms, the company upheld that it was yet to issue any statement relating to its business operations in Kenya, contrary to reports that have been circulating.

“Certain vested interests with malicious intent are circulating multiple fraudulent press releases, including one titled ‘Adani Group Denounces Baseless Accusations and Threats’, related to our presence in Kenya,” sections of the letter read.
