The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) is set to hold its Special General Meeting (SGM) on September 24, 2021.

Announcing the date, LSK president Nelson Havi said the SGM will be his last as the boss of the society.

“We will constitute the elections board and approve IEBC to conduct elections on 17-3-2022,” he said.

Havi said he was proud of what he and his team have done during their tenure.

“With over 20 judgments against Government, advisory for dissolution of Parliament and stop BBI, we have done enough,” he added.

The LSK SGM comes at a time when Havi has been wrangling with Chief Executive Officer Mercy Wambua over the running of the affairs of the lawyers’ body.
