Silverstone plane crashes at Wilson Airport

A Silverstone aircraft has crash-landed just after take-off from the Wilson Airport.

Aviation authorities said all the passengers in the Friday morning accident were evacuated but they did not give details of the injuries sustained.

The Fokker F50 registration number 5Y-IZO is operated by Silverstone Air Services and has a passenger capacity of 50.

It was however not immediately established the number of passengers who were on board to Mombasa.

It has operated from the Wilson Airport since April 2018.
