Kangara said the driver was rushed to Chulaimbo Sub-County hospital but was later transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in  critical condition.

The officer told People Daily that the said tank was heading to Kisumu from from Busia when the driver lost control and veered off the right side of the road, rolling multiple times.

“It landed on a trench approximately 200 metres from the main road and in the process it damaged two semi permanent houses belonging to Lukas Onyango,” he said.

Kangara said the damages were estimated at Sh400,000 and the two occupants who were inside the house also sustained multiple injuries.
