Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino and his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro have hinted on working together in the future.

In a statement, Babu hinted that big things will be happening following his union with the Kiharu MP.

He also assured Kenyans that the future lies in their union and that the citizens should support them.

“Don’t be cheated, this is where the future is. All Kenyans are advised to follow the duo. We will be there no matter what. Big things coming up,” he wrote.

Babu’s statement elicited mixed reactions from his fans with some of them supporting the plan.

While others supported them, some seemingly disputed the idea expressing support for their preferred candidates.

Below are some of the comments;

Gael Aluda, an X user wrote: Good duo. Mr. President and Deputy President respectively.

Another user identified MrJamesKe: Support Okiya Omtata, join forces with him and make Kenya Great.

Another identified asan_derso said; And if you don’t perform, you avail yourselves for beating. Deal?

The latest comes weeks after the two leaders skipped the swearing -in ceremony of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki which followed after former DP Rigathi Gachagua was removed from office.

The two also skipped Gachagua’s impeachment in parliament, defending his move to skip the event, Babu expressed that the country was facing serious issues that required more attention.

“How can I waste my precious whole day discussing Rigathi yet we have serious issues like Adani, new university funding model, SHIF, high cost of living, high taxation, unemployment among others,” he stated.

“You’ll see me in Parliament when these issues are presented, but they will not bring them. I was highly engaged with other important and urgent matters affecting my constituents. The speed with which Rigathi was impeached should be the same speed used to solve Kenyans’ challenges.”
