At the event that was held on Saturday, November 17, 2024, Gachagua seemed to have been ignored and isolated, however, this did not stop the congregation from cheering him on when his name was mentioned and as he was leaving.
Also present at the event was President William Ruto, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and deputy president Kithure Kindiki.
Uhuru also received a warm reception at the mention of his name. It was only Gachagua and Uhuru who were well received by the Embu people.
And even as they left the venue, the crowd bursted into hearty songs of their names, sparking debate across various social media platforms.
