President William Ruto has mourned Murang’a Member of county Assembly (MCA) Mark Wainaina.
In his statement, the president expressed sadness over the MCA’s demise and eulogized him as a hardworking and promising leader who was friendly and witty.
He also eulogized the MCA as a valuable leader with immense potential that inspired the growth and prosperity of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
“We mourn the death of a hardworking and promising leader. Mark Wainaina, the nominated Member of the County Assembly of Murang’a, was friendly, witty and with immense potential that inspired the growth of the UDA Party,” he wrote.
“Our thoughts are with the family and all those who knew him at this sad time.Rest In Peace Mheshimiwa.”

Wainaina died while receiving treatment for a severe pulmonary diseases that caused both his lungs to fail.
Murang’a County Speaker Johnson Mukuha mourned the deceased MCA as a dedicated and wise leader, whose leadership strengthen the assembly.
“It is with profound sadness that we, as the Murang’a County Assembly, mourn the passing of Hon. Mark Wainana.
“Hon. Mark was not only a committed leader but also a friend and pillar of strength to many of us. His unwavering dedication, and wisdom strengthened our Assembly,” Mukuha said.
