KCB managed to frustrate Gor Mahia after picking a point from a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match that ended in a goalless draw at Dandora Stadium on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Gor Mahia headed into the match confident of continuing with their fine run into the season given that they won their two opening games of the season. On the other hand, the Bankers had four wins, a draw, and had conceded a goal before, pointing to an expected tough duel with the defending champions.

In the end, the match ended in stalemate.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia’s Gideon Bendeka would have easily broken the deadlock in the first half, but he could not beat a rather tensed Farouk Sikhalo in KCB’s goal as he sent his shot wide.

Stephen Etyang also came close to breaking the deadlock in favour of KCB, but he failed to beat Gor Mahia’s goalkeeper Gad Mathews despite a well-engineered counterattack.

Elsewhere, Kenya Police secured a 2-0 win over Mathare United. Marvin Nabwire and Kenneth Muguna scored the goals that gave the home side the win and the three points.

FC Talanta and Bandari shared spoils from a 0-0 draw.

Finally, at St. Sebastian Park, AFC Leopards fell to a 1-0 defeat to Murang’a Seal. The home side scored in the 66th minute through a free kick.
