CS Joho attends commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day

Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary (CS) Hassan Joho on Saturday, October 5, 2024, attended the commemoration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day.

In his statement, Joho who attended the event at the invitation of Indonesia’s ambassador to Kenya, Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, congratulated Indonesia and commended the country for its bravery during the struggle for independence.

“At the invitation of His Excellency Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, the Indonesian Ambassador to Kenya, I had the great pleasure of attending the commemoration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day,” Joho said.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Indonesia on this significant milestone in its history and commend the bravery of the Indonesian people who fought valiantly for their independence.”

He also expressed that Kenya enjoys cordial relations grounded on shared principles and mutual interests with the Asian country.

“Over the years, Kenya and Indonesia have enjoyed warm and cordial relations, grounded in our shared principles and mutual interests for the benefit of the people of the two countries,” Joho stated.

Adding;

“May the bonds of friendship between our two countries continue to strengthen for our common good.”
