Kenya Simbas head coach Jerome Paarwater has trimmed his squad to 28 men ahead of the Rugby Africa Cup in Uganda.
The squad sees the return of two foreign-based players, Thomas Okeyo and Malcolm Onsando, who were absent from the 2023 campaign.

Paarwater has also retained the majority of the players from the 2023 squad that won the Elgon Cup and finished second in the Victoria Cup.
Speaking ahead of the competition, Paarwater said, “Despite limited preparation time, the players are motivated and ready to face the challenge. We aim to give our best as the last time the Simbas won the Africa Cup was in 2013.”
The Simbas will begin their Rugby Africa Cup campaign with a quarterfinal clash against Senegal at the Mandela National Stadium in Nambole, Kampala, Uganda, on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
The winner of this match will advance to the semifinals to face the winner of the Algeria-Ivory Coast quarterfinal on Wednesday, July 24.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday, July 28, at the same venue.
