Boost for Harambee Stars as key quartet reports to camp
Harambee Stars camp received a major boost as four key players joined the rest ahead of the Four-Nations tournament in Malawi that will start on March 24 and end on March 26, 2024.
Daniel Anyembe, Richard Odada, Collins Sichenje, and Ayub Timbe are the latest foreign-based players to report as Kenya prepare for the tournament that will be hosted in the COSAFA region.
The arrival of the four is seen as a big boost for the national team, given that Poland-based Erick Ouma and France-based Joseph Okumu will not be available because of injuries.
After arriving, Timbe, Sichenje, Odada, and Anyembe joined their teammates at Utalii Grounds for part of their final preparations ahead of the tournament, where they will face Malawi in their opening match on Saturday.
John Ayunga and Dennis Ng’ang’a had earlier joined the team on Monday and took part in the morning training sessions.
This tournament has been planned in order to prepare the national side for the next international duty, the World Cup qualifying duty in June.
