MMUST have dropped in the KRU championship while Daystar Falcons and the South Coast Pirates have surged closer to securing home semi-finals, positioning themselves as the top contenders in the league.
Daystar Falcons have claimed the pole position on the leaderboard with 39 points and an impressive point difference of 159, underscoring their dominance as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, the South Coast Pirates, riding high on a significant victory over UoE Trojans, have solidified their standing in second place with 36 points and a commanding point difference of 206, putting them on par with Masinde Muliro University, who hold third place with a point difference of 167.
Impala RFC hold firm in the fourth spot with 28 points, ensuring their spot in the playoffs alongside Western Bulls and Mombasa, who occupy the fifth and sixth positions with 20 and 16 points, respectively.
Further down the standings, JKUAT Cougars sit seventh with 14 points, narrowly ahead of USIU Martial in eighth place with 12 points.
UoE Trojans, reeling from a heavy defeat to the South Coast Pirates, find themselves in ninth place with 11 points, just ahead of Kabarak University in tenth with 10 points.
However, UoN Mean Machine face a precarious position in eleventh place, facing the looming threat of relegation back to the nationwide league.
The South Coast Pirates celebrated a monumental victory, marking their biggest win of the season with a commanding 102-03 triumph over the UoE Trojans at their home ground. The game saw stellar performances from key players, including Ali Rashid, Charles Okwemba, and James Ainea, each securing hat-tricks, while Ibrahim Nyongesa added a brace to the tally.
The first half showcased the Pirates’ dominance, with Kelly Akengo notching the initial points through a penalty kick, followed by a series of tries from the likes of Sospeter Rono, Charles Okwemba, and James Ainea, all successfully converted by Akengo.
In the second half, the Pirates continued their relentless attack, with Mwinyi Juma, Brighton Omondi, Joseph Musyoki, and Charles Okwemba extending the lead with additional tries, ensuring a comprehensive victory.
Despite a late penalty conversion by the Trojans, the Pirates maintained control of the game, with Kelly Akengo sealing the win with a drop goal.
MMUST in Derby
In another fixture, MMUST Rugby and Western Bulls engaged in a hard-fought battle, ultimately ending in a 3-3 draw.
