FKF PL Week 21: Gor Mahia looking to bounce back as AFC Leopards face Seal
Gor Mahia will be looking for a bounce back after their first loss in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League when they host Ulinzi Stars on Saturday in Machakos.
After enjoying an impeccable run for 19 games, Gor Mahia were finally defeated by Kenya Police, who saw them off with a 3-1 margin.
Going into week 21 action, the reigning champions will be looking to return to winning ways with a victory over their opponents Ulinzi Stars.
Ulinzi Stars are expected not to be an easy opponent for K’Ogalo given that they were winners over Talanta in their last game.
Stars, who have conceded 16 goals so far, must be on top of their game if they are to stop Gor Mahia, who have scored 25 goals.
Gor Mahia are also led up front by the league’s top scorer, Benson Omala, who will be eager to score and extend the gap at the top of the scorers’ chart.
Meanwhile, Posta Rangers and Police will meet in the other match on Saturday in Machakos at 1:00 pm.
Bandari will host high-flying Nairobi City Stars at Mbaraki in a game scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm.
On Sunday, six games have been lined up in different venues. Talanta will host Sofapaka at Police Stadium, while Muhoroni Youth will be at home against Kariobangi Sharks.
Shabana will play host to Tusker at the Raila Odinga Stadium. Both sides will go for crucial wins given that the Brewers want points to give their title ambitions a new lease of life, while Tore Bobe wants a positive outcome to help them climb the ladder from the danger zone.
Bidco United will face Nzoia Sugar at Thika Stadium, while AFC Leopards will be at Nyayo Stadium for a match against Murang’a Seal.
Ingwe have been in good form in the second round of the Premier League, and a win over the debutants is all they want in order to provide their supporters with something to celebrate over the weekend.
Finally, KCB are set to face Kakamega Homeboyz at Police Pavillion.
