Kariobangi Sharks have claimed the top spot in the FKF Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Shabana FC at Raila Odinga Stadium.

If Gor Mahia and Posta Rangers fail to secure victories on Sunday, Sharks will enter the new week as league leaders.

They were determined to continue their winning streak but had to wait until stoppage time to secure maximum points, thanks to Geoffrey Onyango’s late goal.

This victory has propelled them to eight points, just one point ahead of Posta Rangers and Gor Mahia, both of whom will be in action on Sunday.

Tusker FC also had to work hard for their three points, narrowly defeating Muhoroni Youth with a single goal at Ruaraka Sports Club.

The decisive goal came in the 69th minute when David Odoyo slotted home from close range following a Shaphan Oyugi cutback.

On Sunday, Nairobi City Stars will face off against Nzoia Sugar FC at Ruaraka Grounds. In another exciting match, KCB FC will take on Bandari FC at Kasarani Main Stadium.

Murang’a Seal will challenge league leaders Posta Rangers FC at St. Sebastian Park, while Kakamega Homeboyz will clash with the formidable Gor Mahia at Bukhungu Stadium. Kakamega Homeboyz aims for their second win of the season, while Gor Mahia strives to maintain their strong position in the league.
