As the World Rugby U20 Trophy 2023 approaches its climax on Sunday, July 30, an exhilarating showdown is on the horizon as Spain and Uruguay prepare to face off in the final.

The four matches will see teams competing for third place, fifth place, and seventh place, culminating with the final clash between Spain and Uruguay.

World U20 Trophy 7th place

Kicking off the day at 10.00 am will be the seventh-place playoffs, where the USA will take on Hong Kong. Both teams will be eager to secure a victory and end their tournament on a positive note. The USA and Hong Kong are yet to win a match in the tournament.

Next up at 12.00 pm will be the third-place playoffs, featuring Scotland and Samoa. At 2.00 pm, all eyes will be on Zimbabwe and Kenya as they face off in the fifth-place playoffs. Notably, this match will also serve as the curtain-raiser for the World U20 Trophy final between Spain and Uruguay.

Zimbabwe and Kenya have had a memorable encounter before, with Zimbabwe emerging victorious 28-7 to retain the Barthes Trophy exactly three months ago. The rematch is sure to be a thrilling showdown.
