Eldoret town estate residents in shock after minor’s murder

Residents of  Kapsoya Estate on the outskirts of Eldoret town woke up to a bizarre incident after a 25-year-old man allegedly butchered a minor and collected his blood in a bucket.

The 25-year-old suspect is said to have committed the heinous act at the backyard of his father’s compound, an incident that has shocked many.

Police have since launched a manhunt for the man who disappeared immediately after the incident ferrying the body using a Probox vehicle.

Members of the public later spotted the man dumping the boy’s body at Koilel in Ainabkoi Constituency, Uasin Gishu county, before driving off to his home at Kao la Amani, Kapsoya in Eldoret town.

According to Kapsoya chief Edwin Kibor, the residents saw the young man dropping the body and traced the vehicle to the home.

“The vehicle was found packed at the home of the suspects’ father house and varnished afterwards. We have reported the incident to police who are looking for the man,” said Kibor. Homicide detectives from Kapsoya visited the scene and collected samples as they embark on investigating the incident.
