Miguna expected back into the country tomorrow
Lawyer Miguna Miguna will finally return to the country tomorrow (Thursday) morning, after five years in exile.
Miguna, a harsh critic of the retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Handshake partner and Azimio-One Kenya leader Raila Odinga, was deported to Canada in 2018 following the controversial swearing in of the latter as the ‘people’s president’ at Uhuru Park.
Miguna took to his Twitter account to announce his imminent return after acquiring a new passport.
Miguna said President William Ruto had ensured justice was done and his passport was processed last month without filling any documents.
“Patriots, I will be arriving on a Kenya Airways flight at 6am (October 20). Terminal 1. Cheers,” Miguna tweeted yesterday.
The controversial lawyer has not spared government officials he believes contributed to his deportation.
Among the government officials who have been on the receiving end since he was bundled out of the country include Uhuru, Raila, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
